Yasuo Sugahara aka Momoyo

In December, 1953, I was born in Arakawa-ku, Tokyo. It was down town area of Tokyo.
When I was 17 years old, I began a career of music.
I formed the first band after having quitted a senior high school.
The band was named 'ELECTRIC MOTH'.

In 1973, We changed the name "RED LIZARD".
Just the same time, I passed an examination of university entrance requirements and enter Kanto academy Great Britain the U.S. literature department.
In 1978, the music movement called 'Tokyo Rockers' became lively. We were in the center of the movement.
I met the bassist from STRANGLERS in winter. He invited us to LONDON,1979 summer.
So,We changed the name "LIZARD" and went to LONDON. At that time,we had the recording the 1st album and have some gigs in UK.
1980 released 2nd album'BABYLON ROCKER'.
1981 released 3rd album'GYMNOPEDIA'For Neuromantic movement.
And I let the Band dissolve once.After that A project under same name 'LIZARD' released many album. But it was not a band any longer.

From an end of 1980's to the beginning of 90's, I went away from music.
Just after having published music life of myself as an autobiography.

I have acquired residential land building business chief person qualification, and I did the writings about real estate. And I did work about spread of a real estate database. It was work for the Ministry of Construction.
Next work of the Ministry of Construction was a design of a robot. I have a qualification of the special radio engineer. As an electronic technique person, I am concerned with this construction robot.
A lot of people died of the those days, a big eruption disaster.
A volcano of UNZENFUGENDAKE erupted, and pyroclastic flow occurred. The robot which could work in the high heat was necessary for them. I had knowledge about a Midi system of music, and I was a radio engineer. So I devoted my life to it. In this period I experienced construction management and controlle the robots in a dangerous area under the volcano.

And In 1997, The Project 'LIZARD' was rebeared as the AI program in BABYLONIC STUDIO. I used electronic technique and assembled a machine for the musical work station. At first I made the image track for some of the films. Latest work is the sound track of'Alexander' a animation film.

And I set my foot in a dangerous zone of music again.
